Statement of the new LCP President on named officials linked to drugs

By LCP President
August 7, 2016 - Quezon City

As President of the League of Cities of the Philippines and Mayor of Angeles City, I am fully supporting the President's actions in this unrelenting campaign and all-out war to eliminate the illegal drug menace. This is both our passion and part of our campaign promise, and we shall fulfill this promise.

The mayors and other government personnel who have been identified as alleged illegal drug coddlers should now come out publicly. This is now their opportunity to explain their side and clear their names if they are not really involved. The protectors of pushers and drug syndicates must face the consequences.  With enough evidence, they must be hailed to court.

Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan
National President
