The War VS Illegal Drugs, Corruption & Criminality

By LCP
October 5, 2016 - Quezon City

The League of Cities of the Philippines remains steadfast in the ongoing war against illegal drugs, corruption and criminality. We are also committed to uphold and protect the Constitutional and democratic rights of the people.

The war against illegal drugs, corruption and criminality is a campaign to eradicate the social menace that has affected this country for a very long time. A campaign to strengthen the Filipino family, and our values and tradition as a nation. A campaign for the protection of human dignity, and of our democratic way of life.

There is no room in our just and democratic society for drug lords and criminals because the majority of  our people are law-abiding and God-fearing.

We also call for the continuation of the ongoing investigation at the House of Representatives on the proliferation of illegal drugs particularly inside the New Bilibid Prison. If there is enough evidences, the personalities involved must be charged in the proper court where they will have the opportunity to defend themselves, and can be proven innocent or guilty.

All of us in the LCP campaigned on the platform of good governance. We are all against any form of crime particularly illegal drugs, corruption and syndicates victimizing our people. Our programs and policies are clear, and we are working in one direction on these urgent issues.

For our country to fully develop, criminal elements must be eradicated, victims must be protected and the rule of law must be upheld.
