LCP President sits in UN Habitat Philippines Board of Advisers

On 24 August 2017, LCP National President and Angeles City Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan attended the first meeting of the UN Habitat Philippines Board of Advisers (BOA) at the New World Hotel in Makati City. Members of the BOA have a key role in ensuring relevance, synergy, and sustainability of the UN Habitat country programme by providing policy advice and guidance to the UN-Habitat Country Programme Manager and the management team as it carry out its mandate towards the achievement of the New Urban Agenda (NUA).

The 17-man BOA consists of representatives from the national government agencies, NGOs, academe, and development partners. Mayor Oscar S. Moreno of Cagayan de Oro City is also a member of the BOA. During the meeting, it was agreed that the BOA will meet once a year or as needed.
