The Bridging Leaders for Sustainable Development (BLSD) and BLSD-Governance and Leadership Institute (BLSD-GLI) in partnership with other stakeholders is inviting LCP member cities to participate in its upcoming 7th Eco Forum 2017 on May 25-27, 2017 at Boracay Eco Village Resort and Convention Center, Boracay, Malay, Aklan.

 

With the theme Empowering Our Leaders: Crafting Sustainable Solutions for a Better Future, the forum is designed to raise awareness on the complexity of threats caused by rapid urbanization to sustainable development. This gathering will provide a venue for the local leaders and stakeholders in discussing challenges and opportunities that will bring about meaningful change in our urban centers and cities.

The 7th edition will focus the issues on alleviating poverty and hunger, access to funds for disaster preparedness and response, labor and employment, green jobs and economy, population management, urban development and clean energy. For your reference, attached are the Memorandum Circular issued by Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Concept Note together with details of participation, plenary sessions, methodology, registration procedures and tentative program and schedule.
