LCP teams up with Canadian volunteer org to help cities

LCP inks a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Canadian Executive Service Organization to help cities improve their development planning along areas of agriculture and tourism development. In the 49th National Executive Board Meeting in Puerto Princesa City last May 26, 2012, LCP Board endorsed the partnership with CESOand urged its member-cities to avail of this program.
In the MOU, LCP will collaborate with CESO in providing technical capacity development assistance to the selected cities and in documenting the good practices. CESO will bring in volunteer advisers to be deployed to cities on a demand-driven basis. LCP and CESO will also jointly monitor and evaluate after the program interventions.
CESO is a Canadian not-for-profit volunteer cooperation organization founded in 1967 that promotes sustainable, economic, and social opportunities by building capacity in governance and economic development.
