LCP pays tribute to the 40 graduating city mayors who will end their three consecutive terms on June 2010 during the Recognition Rites last December 08, 2009 at the NBC Tent, Taguig City.
In November- December 2008, three big cities conference sessions were held in Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, and Zamboanga cities to address migration issues. IDEALS spearheaded the project. Other partners include the Ateneo School of Government, Asian Institute of Management, and the League of Cities of the Philippines.
“The Caravan provides a venue for our city mayors to discuss issues and for the host cities to showcase their local programs and projects. City mayors share with each other programs and projects that have direct impact on their constituencies. With this, we are able to bring out lessons and apply them in our cities as well.”
As the head of the LCP Secretariat, she values each staff’s role in contributing to the success of the LCP. However, with the influx of work to the LCP, a staff is inevitably left threadbare. She will focus on providing an enabling environment for the secretariat by upgrading its technical capability, inculcating core values and discipline, and good taste.
