The League of Cities, an organization primarily created for the purpose of promoting and protecting the interests of its 122 member-cities, is currently in need of dynamic individuals for the following positions:
1. Deputy Executive Director for Policy, Programs, and Projects (DEDPPP)
Responsibilities and Competencies Required
- Assist the Executive Director in carrying out the LCP Programs and Projects in line with its annual and medium term plans;
- Must hold a Master's Degree relevant to the work of its equivalent;
- Five years experience in governance work of senior management position in public and/or private sector;
2. Deputy Executive Director for Administration and Finance (DEDAF)
Responsibilities and Competencies Required
- Assist the Executive Director in ensuring effective and efficient operations of all administrative and financial functions of the League;
- Monitors financial position of the League;
- Must hold a Master's degree relevant to the work or its equivalent;
- Five (5) years experience in governance work of senior management position in public and/or private sector;
3. Program Officer for the Environment
Responsibilities and Competencies Required
- Develop and implement the environmental initiatives of the League;
- Liaise with cities and provide assistance to them for the implementation of their own environmental initiatives;
- Develop linkages and maintain close coordination with national and international organizations involved in developing/addressing environment related issues and concerns;
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Plamnning, Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration or any relevant field;
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in project management and implementation (previously handled environment-related programs and LGU-level experience is an advantage); and
- Good communication skills, both written and interpersonal
4. Program Officer for Management Information System
Responsibilities and Competencies Required
- Provide technical expertise in the area of Management Information System and Reporting
- Analyze and collect raw data and transform the same that will be useful in the decision-making processes at various levels of organization;
- Experience in the design and development of Management Information System;
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in any computer related courses (Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology)
- Must have at least three (3) years experience in management of information systems in a public or a private organization;
- Good communication skills, both written and interpersonal
5. Program Officer for Special Projects
Responsibilities and Competencies Required
- Develop and maintain linkages with national government agencies and development partners;
- Provide technical support to the programs department including but not limited to the project development and management;
- Write articles for the content of the LCP Website;
- At least three years work experience in project development and management in the public and/or private sector;
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Political Science, Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration or any related field;
- Experience in policy development in LGU level is a plus;
- Research-oriented;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
6. Junior Program Officer
Responsibilities and Competencies Required
- Assist the Program Officer for Special Projects in the following
a.) Development and implementation of priority programs and projects;
b. ) Networking and building linkages with development partners and implementation of programs and projects affecting Philippine Cities;
c. ) Assist cities in accessing funding support for their priority programs and projects;
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Social Science, Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, or any related field;
- Two (2) years of experience in project management and implementation is an advantage. New graduates are encouraged to apply;
- Good communication skills, both written and interpersonal
