 UPDATES FROM THE JUNE 29, 2020 IATF-EID BRIEFING

 
1. GENERAL COVID-19 SITUATION
• Cebu City is nearing high risk level per critical care utilization rate
• Central Luzon and the rest of the Visayas are at moderate risk per critical care utilization rate
 
2. SOCIAL AMELIORATION PROGRAM
• A total of 1,345,102 families have received the second tranche of SAP as of 28 June 2020
• A total of PHP 6.79 billion pesos has been disbursed
 
3. MORATORIUM ON LSIs
• As of 28 June 2020, LSIs belonging to these areas are allowed to return to their home regions with the health clearance as the only requirement needed:
• Region 6
• Region 8
• Caraga Region
• Cebu Island
• Mactan Island
• The official protocol on receiving and sending LSIs and ROFs and the responsibility of LGUs will be released within the week per Sec. Galvez
 
4. DOTr UPDATES
• 980 UV Express units to start operation within Metro Manila and nearby provinces (e.g. Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan)
• 47 routes are fully operational
• No fare adjustments for UV Express
• Trains and rail sector are fully operational
• Full list of bus routes and fares are posted on the LTFRB Facebook page
• Additional bus augmentation routes in Metro Manila starting 29 June 2020 will include the following: Monumento to Quezon Ave; PITX to Ayala; and Timog to Santolan
• PUV modes with higher passenger capacity shall be prioritized
• Approved list of operational traditional jeepneys per IATF as of 29 June 2020:
• Bulacan
• Pampanga
• Cagayan de Oro City
• South Cotabato
• Caraga Region
• Regions 1, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12
• Cordillera Administrative Region
• Siquijor
 
5. NTF FOR COVID-19 UPDATES
• Cebu City is showing signs of increased local transmission as severe and critical cases are increasing
• Cebu has only seven (7) Level-3 laboratories
• Death rate is increasing in Cebu City and the rest of the Cebu Province
• NTF is closely monitoring Cebu City and rest of the province
• NTF is recommending continuous stringent measures to implement protocols of the ECQ (i.e. strict lockdown)
• The National Action Plan will be revised to facilitate the changing demands and level of community quarantine being implemented throughout the country to combat COVID-19 virus.
• 5,000 OFWs will be repatriated to the Philippines from Sabah. They will dock in Tawi-Tawi and Zamboanga City for testing and mandatory quarantine.
• The testing capacity in the country is increasing and improving.
• Localized zoning and lockdown will continue to be implemented.
 
60 PROJECT ARK (DR. MENGUITA PADILLA)
• Project ARK LGUs - 13 provinces, 40 cities and municipalities plus, and the CBCP are already part of the Project Ark
• Pooled PCR testing will allow more PCR tests to be conducted at lower cost to the government and the private sector.
