The League of Cities of the Philippines in partnership with the Local Climate Change Adaptation for Development (LCCAD) is pleased to invite you to participate at the 2017 National Roll Out on the Formulation of the Local Climate Change Action Plan Training-Workshop. This 3-day workshop is in consonance with President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s priority programs to address global warming and impacts of climate change.
The training aims to assist the local government units to formulate their Local Climate Change Action Plan with the end view of successfully accessing the People Survival Fund (“PSF”) as well as other funding support from the national government line agencies and international financial institutions. We note with urgency that the PSF Board is now ready to release its Two Billion Pesos fund to finance programs and projects stipulated in the LCCAP of the local government units.
In order to provide complete information and data required for the LCCAP document, it is highly recommended that the team be composed of the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan members, City Health Officer, ABC President, City Agriculturist, CPDO, CDRRMO, CSWDO, Tourism Officer, City Environment Officer and concerned department heads.
There are trainings available on the following dates:
April 26-28, 2017 at Legazpi City, Albay;
May 10-12, 2017 at Quezon City, Metro Manila;
May 24-26, 2017 at Quezon City, Metro Manila.
There is a registration fee in the amount of Eleven Thousand Pesos (Php 11,000.00) per participant (meals, three night hotel accommodation and training materials),on a first come, first serve basis.Travelexpenses shall be charged to local funds. Should you be interested to send a team to represent your city, kindly inform the organizers at least 7 days prior to the training schedule to facilitate accommodation of the participants.
