RE : 30TH INTERNATIONAL AIDS CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL - “IN SOLIDARITY”

The Philippine National Aids Council (PNAC) will observe the 30th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial (IACM) on May 19, 2013 with the theme, "In Solidarity." The theme emphasizes the need for people living with and affected by HIV to join hands and work together - solidarity is essential to reducing stigma and promoting the involvement of people living with HIV - for a more effective HIV response.

Government agencies and local government units are encouraged to support and participate in the observance of PNAC activities by:

 

  1. Displaying a banner in government offices or other strategic places that announces the celebration of the event; and
  2. Conducting HIV and AIDS Education Sessions or Fora.
