MEMORANDUM

FOR : All Honorable Mayors

FROM : The LCP Executive Director

RE : Invitation to Pilot Test a Tourism App Built for the COVID-19 Pandemic

DATE: 28 July 2020

The makers behind VISITA, a visitor management platform which helps nature-based tourist destinations adapt to health and safety precautions during the pandemic, would like to invite and partner with local government units to pilot test the said platform.

VISITA aims to help the Philippine tourism industry recover from the pandemic by addressing some of the challenges that nature-based destinations may face when it comes to reopening their sites. The platform can help promote destinations, enforce social distancing protocols, minimize physical contact between staff and visitors, and implement contact tracing.

The pilot test for VISITA will take place this coming August and is open to nature-based tourist sites managed by LGUs. Further details including the requirements for the program can be found in the attached formal letter by the VISITA Team.

Should you be interested to take part in the program, kindly contact VISITA Project Manager Pamela Valle at contact@visita.org.ph, learn@masungigeoreserve.com, or at 0927 740 3262 to schedule an online meeting. You may also visit their website at www.visita.org.ph or watch a demo video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZaR-J8AxhA to learn more about the project.

Thank you very much.
