RE : Invitation to Enroll in a Public Policy Course by the University of Oxford

DATE: 29 July 2020

The UK Department for International Trade and the British Embassy Manila would like to invite city mayors, LGU executives, and city department officers to enroll in an online course by the Blavatnik School of Government of the University of Oxford called Evidence in Public Policy.

The online program will run for eight-weeks and will give students the opportunity to hone critical skills needed to “design and implement policies informed by facts rather than opinion or instinct.”

Tuition fee for the online course is at £950 (~PHP 60,000) and intakes are scheduled this October and in January, May, and July of next year. The University will be providing a discounted package for government offices who will be funding employees to undertake the course over an agreed time period.

Should you or your LGU colleagues be interested to take part in this program, your office may get in touch with Angeli Lirag at Angeli.Lirag@fco.gov.uk or at 0906 332 8458. You may also refer to the attached letter and factsheet from the British Embassy Manila for more information about the program.

Thank you very much.

Atty. Shereen Gail Yu-Pamintuan

LCP Executive Director
