Philippine cities are invited to join the fifth cycle of the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award), a knowledge sharing system for sustainable urban development that aims to recognize innovation in improving social, economic, and environmental sustainability in cities.

 

If your city has ongoing or recently completed innovative initiatives related the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the commitments under the New Urban Agenda, or even programs that respond to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, you may register and submit your city entries by visiting http://www.guangzhouaward.org/p/e_applynow.

 

The Guangzhou Award will be bestowed to up to five (5) cities for each award cycle. Each winning city will receive a USD 20,000 cash prize, a trophy, and a commemorative certificate. Winners are also invited to attend special events including the Global Mayors’ Forum and the award ceremony to be held in 2021.
