RE : E-Learning Course on Sustainable Urban Mobility in Developing Countries

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), in partnership with the German Technical Cooperation (GIZ), will be conducting an e-learning course on Sustainable Urban Mobility in Developing Countries from December 3, 2012 to March 22, 2013.

The online course is designed to provide solutions and alternative approaches in urban transport planning for developing cities. It includes an analysis of key sustainable transport issues such as transport demand management, improved public and non-motorized transport, environmental protection, road safety, and gender in transport. Other topics included would deal with economic and financial instruments related to urban transport, as well as institutional improvements, market regulation and environmental standards.
